The first photo from my new computer looks…. exactly like the old ones.  HD Camera?  LIES.

Alas, I had to clip all of the nails today because my longest one tore in class.  I had to exercise the greatest willpower to not tear it off before I got back to my apartment.  I clipped it and the rest when I got there.  It was very hard not to bite it!  AAAGH. 

Anyway, I haven’t painted my nails.  Last night while I was driving I destroyed most of the polish.  I used Seche Vite instead of the Sally Hansen top coat in the red bottle, so I think that may have contributed to the massive peeling they experienced before I began to chip away at it.  They seem healthy (other than that terrible horrible break today in class) so I am just leaving them as is until it becomes a problem.  Or until I get bored and paint them!

I repainted, and surprisingly, not with black!  It looks like it, but it is again The Skinny by Ulta, which I haven’t cleaned up yet.   Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!  I am driving back to Louisville in the morning, so we’ll see how the drive works out.  I have plenty of gum as backup!

The black polish finally chipped. Drat! Alas, I did not manage to repaint them tonight. And look at those scraggly cuticles! I need to get some cream for them. A much better cream. But look at that teeny nail peeking through!

Making up for last night!  Still wearing black, and I love it so.  I made it through my exam yesterday without a single nibble, then made it all the way home (a 3 1/2 hour drive) without a single nail nibble … I may have tried to remove some scraggly skin around my thumb.   Anyway, I will probably repaint tonight.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I still haven’t repolished.  I just like the black nails!  Still OPI Black Onyx, still looking for an alternative.   I was in Walgreens today and some of you may be interested to know that they have Tweezerman Mini Mani Kits for $9.  I’m going back to grab one for my mom - this is what it looks like:   It’s a little different from the one I use: which has cuticle trimmers instead of fingernail clippers, but when you consider that the price of mine was $20, it’s a pretty good buy.  I think I’m going to grab one in case I lose my pusher.  So heads up on that! I have an exam tomorrow, so I am studying for it.  I hope I can make it through without biting.  Last Friday we had a quiz and I was very very nibbly.  I ruined my green polish in that time.  So I will be buying gum, stocking up my water bottle, and hoping for the best.  Wish me luck… on both the test (mechanics of materials, which I actually like but I do not enjoy being tested on the things I learn) and on my no-nail-biting endeavors!

Day three of black nails, which I have decided might as well be permanent.  Except for the chip on the thumb and some shrinkage caused by the top coat, it’s actually staying pretty well and doesn’t seem to be denting anymore.  I am not even using Hoof Hands and am doing fine keeping my nails out of my mouth.  Yaaaaaaaaay.

ERMAHGERD.  It has been a week since I last posted.  BAH.  I’ve actually been doing pretty well.  Had some slipups here and there, but overall successful.  I’ve got teeny nails again, for the first time in ages, and it’s a great feeling.  I haven’t had that in so long!  My right hand always looks so much better than my left.  I painted them black tonight with OPI Black Onyx (which I do not like - recommendations?) and ok, I LOVE BLACK NAIL POLISH.  I will say it until the cows come home.  I LOVE BLACK NAIL POLISH.  This one in particular seems like it never dries and stays gooey.  Do not like.  I have been thinking about trying Essie’s Licorice BUT I have that problem where they test on animals, which makes me sad. Anyway, I have just been watching lots of TV and doing my homework like a good kid.  I had a quiz Friday, which was when the majority of these slipups occurred.  I am going to try to make efforts to post daily.  It’s just hard, yknow?  My boyfriend is around ALL THE TIME now so I am not like “hey, my computer!” and instead spending time with him since we rarely get to see each other.   Hope everyone’s doing well - get to posting!!  I’ve only seen one since my last post.  For shame!
